🛕 Shri Mahaprabhuji Ni Baithak This sacred site is located within the Dehotsarg (Geeta Mandir) complex. Acharya Shri Vallabhacharyaji (respectfully known as Shri Mahaprabhuji), the founding guru of the Pushtimarg Vaishnav Sampradaya, performed the Parayan (continuous reading and spiritual discourse) of the Shrimad Bhagavat for seven days at this exact spot. There are a total of 84 such Baithaks (holy seats) of Shri Mahaprabhuji all over India, and this specific one is the 65th Baithak. Because of this, it is considered a highly sacred place by the followers of Pushtimarg (Vaishnavs). 🛕 History (In Brief) The Journey of Shri Vallabhacharyaji: During the 15th century (1479-1531 CE), Shri Mahaprabhuji completed the Parikrama (holy pilgrimage tour) of India three times. During these great journeys, he established the path of devotion known as Pushtimarg and performed the Bhagavat Parayan at various locations. What is a Baithakji? The exact holy spots where he sat down and narrated the divine Katha (spiritual stories and teachings) are respectfully called Baithakji. Today, these Baithaks serve as exceptionally holy and revered pilgrimage destinations for all Vaishnavs.
